Sustainability at Hurst Lodge
At Hurst Lodge, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
We encourage our whole community to consider our planet with the choices they make inside and out of school. With the support of Let’s Go Zero*, we are developing and rolling out our climate action plan linking to energy, water, waste, transport, food, nature, green skills and careers, curriculum, adaptation and resilience.

As part of our school careers programme, we are embracing Green Careers Week by highlighting sustainable career opportunities to our students. Industry experts will be working with us to share how their organisations are working to reduce climate change and how the future generations can continue this important work.
As a school community, across both sites, we are on a journey together to reduce our carbon footprint whilst highlighting to our students the significant impact that their actions can have. We believe that, working collectively, we can change the impact we are having on our vulnerable planet.

As we move forward into the increasingly uncertain future of our planet, it is important that we all recognise how the choices we make now will affect the lives of generations to come.
